toscana
The word ‘Burbero’, in the Tuscan dialect, means a person who at first seems a bit surly but who, just like my wine, soon reveals their true value, a good and genuine soul that you grow to love more as you get to know them better.

Everything started for us from this vineyard and this wine, whose first vintage was 2011. Two vineyards, of half a hectare each, carefully studied and planted in two different places in order to combine the best result of both in this wine. Our oldest vineyard in the world.
Harvest :
Only manual selection, collected in boxes. The collection is divided into zones.
Vinification :
Spontaneous fermentation at controlled temperatures, the separately harvested areas are kept separate even in vinification so as to have at the final taste the opportunity to create the best possible blend, privileging the high parts of the vineyard where the soil is drier and that gives us small clusters of the highest quality.
Ageing :
It takes place inside cement vats that allow a natural perspiration and an evolution of the wine without giving additional aromas because of its neutrality, the rest continues for as long as possible in the bottle that completes our wine.
First Vintage :
2011
Bottles produced :
6,000 bt/year
Tasting notes :
Vintage 2015 | 90/100 James Suckling
Quite reductive at first, but opens to reveal some nice glazed-cherry and orange-peel character. Citrusy and refined with medium tannins and a fruity finish. Drink now.
